EU Data Act Compliance Statement
The EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854) strengthens the rights of users of connected products by ensuring transparent access to data generated during product usage.
Berghof Automation GmbH complies with the EU Data Act and provides access to relevant product data for its programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in accordance with the regulation, applicable from 12 September 2025.
This page explains what data is generated, who can access it, and how it can be obtained when using Berghof PLC products sold via the Conrad Online Store.
Role Under the EU Data Act

Berghof provides access to data generated by its PLC products directly to the user, without discrimination and without unnecessary technical or contractual barriers.
Scope of Applicable Products
This EU Data Act information applies to the following Berghof PLC product families:
- B‑Nimis MC‑PI Pro, MC‑PI Prime, MC‑PI Plus
- B‑Fortis CC‑Slim, CC‑Prime, CC‑Prime G2
- B‑Primis DC‑Pro, DC‑Prime, DC‑Plus, DC‑Pi Prime
What Data Is Generated and Available?
Berghof PLC products generate non‑personal, machine‑related data during operation. The following data categories are available to users under the EU Data Act:
Product Identification Data
- Product name and device identifier
- Firmware version
- Installed system options and licenses
Operational and Diagnostic Data
- System runtime and uptime
- Application status and diagnostic information
- System and PLC log files
- Communication diagnostics (e.g. Ethernet, CAN)
- Memory and storage status
Data Not Covered
- Data from external or associated cloud services (not applicable for these products)
- No intentional collection or provision of personal data
How Can Users Access Their Data?
The data described above is directly accessible by the user via standard product interfaces, including:
- The integrated web interface of the PLC
- Built‑in diagnostic and log views
- Optional export of diagnostic information (system dump) for analysis or support
No additional software subscriptions or third‑party services are required.
Purpose of Data Access
Access to product data enables users to:
- Monitor system health and operation
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Maintain and optimize installed applications
- Fulfill their own regulatory or documentation requirements
Berghof does not restrict legitimate user access to product data generated by the user’s own device.
Data Security and Integrity
Berghof Automation GmbH ensures that:
- Data access is limited to authorized users
- Product security and operational integrity are maintained
- Provided data is read‑only where required to prevent unintended system changes
