Update on the Sustainability Project - Sustainability Check 1.0
At the beginning of October, the Berghof Group, together with Jannik Lorenz from LoNa (Home - LoNa) and the core team of the project, carried out the first step of the sustainability check as part of the sustainability project.
The check examines various facets of corporate behaviour from an inside-out perspective: where and how do our actions have a sustainable impact? It focuses on issues such as climate change, pollution and the circular economy, as well as employees and their needs.
What is the goal?
The aim of the Sustainability Check is to systematically record sustainability - in social, environmental and economic terms.
It identifies current and planned activities and developments that promote sustainable behaviour. It also identifies areas for improvement and serves as a solid basis for the development of a long-term sustainability strategy.
The specifics of the Berghof Group
This check is particularly exciting for an individual company, as each has its own specific impacts on sustainability. However, the diversity of the Berghof Group, with its six companies, creates an additional dimension that opens up many different perspectives on sustainable behaviour. Each company brings its own expertise and challenges to the table, making the check even more diverse and valuable.
Sustainability check - what happens next?
In the first step, the answers were provided by the core team.
Now the Sustainability Check is entering its second round, in which the various categories will be supplemented by the expertise and know-how of the individual companies in the Berghof Group.
In November, the results will be used to derive and define concrete goals and responsibilities for driving sustainable development forward.
