The programmable CODESYS Safety PLC is the heart of the application, which supports an easy integration into an existing EtherCAT structure. The Safety PLC links the inputs and outputs of the safety system with safety-related signals from other devices of the plant. The communication takes place via the present EtherCAT-Bus with the certified safety protocol - Safety over EtherCAT® (FSoE).
The Safety PLC core consists of two microprocessors, which implement the safety functions and communicate mutually to exchange process data and monitor each other.
A third microprocessor manages the external communication.
As an stackable module it can be easily integrated into the standardized Berghof E-I/O-system.
The Berghof Safety PLC (FSoE-Master) is designed to be able to connect with random FSoE-Slaves (e.g. Safety I/O-modules, drive controller, ...)
The programming takes place with an as well certified and complete integrated CODESYS plug-in.
Certified function modules can be graphically interconnected and form the safety programm of the plant.
In Case that the equipment of certified modules are insufficient for your project it is possible to get access to an expandable instruction set.
The software furthermore has additional functions for the hedge of the safety function, e.g. change tracking, safe signal flow, safe versioning, separation safe operation and more.
