Heating, ventilation and air conditioning controlled in a smart way

Increase comfort and save energy and therefore costs at the same time

One of the most important elements in building automation is the smart control of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Modern control technology not only ensures that the people in a building feel comfortable in any weather and at any time of the year and that there is always a healthy indoor climate - it also optimizes the building's energy consumption and protects it from damage caused by excessive humidity.

To make sure you can integrate all your data points effortlessly, quickly and reliably, Berghof has designed its high-performance controllers from the ground up to meet the special requirements of HVAC applications. A good example is the all-in-one controller B-Fortis CC-Prime with its already integrated analog and digital I/Os.

Since any hardware is only as good as the software that runs on it, we offer you: the Berghof CODESYS for Building Automation (IEC-61131-3), our project planning software that covers the entire range of functions for optimized building and infrastructure automation.

The Berghof CODESYS for Building Automation offers programmers and users the following advantages:

  • Support of heterogeneous system architectures consisting of components such as compact controllers for single room monitoring, display controllers for room automation and operation in a single device, aggregate controllers as well as other systems used in building automation.

  • A non-proprietary software solution for the use of suitable devices of different manufacturers for building automation. Established standards from the industry such as OPC UA, BACnet, KNX or web technologies such as MQTT or REST API enable a flexible and reliable connection of external system architectures or cloud platforms.

  • With CODESYS web visualization, the facility manager can conveniently access individual room data via Internet browser or collect it in a device via data sources for monitoring. In the similar way, a service technician can display and modify the status data of primary systems, aggregate controllers, floor or application controllers via Internet access without having to be on site himself.

  • Our software comes with the necessary IT security compliance capabilities to protect systems against unauthorized access or data manipulation. The same established technologies are used that are relied on today for online banking, for example.
